I enjoyed it throughout, and will be reading the rest of the series. If you like 40k, 40k lore or just awesome sci fi from an immensely detailed universe and a truly exceptional author, try this book. It seems to be either too soft daan too loud. Prescribed listening for all acolytes.

Warhammer 40, Eisenhorn, Book 1 Written by: Such well produced product and a skilled author to boot. A change of style, to more of a thriller, than a straight up action story, was welcome, and I would enjoy reading more like this.
My first Warmhammer 40k book – I knew nothing about the game or the universe, but I didn’t really feel lost starting here. Warhammer 40K novel with a fantastic performance.

I had a lot of fun reading this book and experienced a fair amount of “woah” moments. Xenos is slightly different to the previous Black Library xemos I’ve read, it follows an Inquisitor named Gregor Eisenhorn who is charged with hunting heretics, a I have a soft spot for the Warhammer 40K universe, I’ve read quite a few books from the Black Library before, and for the most part they’ve been enjoyable military sci-fi set in a grim and dark universe where war is eternal and humanity faces a desperate fight for survival against unforgiving aliens and the mind warping demons of chaos.

Abnett is good at writing action and despite all the violence, it always has an impact on you as a reader. Awesome narration Narrator really brings this book to life, I can also abnrtt I’ve always been a fan of Orks and Necrons and less so the Imperium, but this book and I assume the next two has changed that.
